1971(K) Triumph Stag Mk1 Left-hand Drive. Tax exempt. This possibly unique example is hard to find words to describe. Probably not for the purist but a very special Stag. Professionally fitted with a 5.0 litre V8 Chevrolet engine and matching GM350 automatic gearbox. The whole car has been comprehensively rebuilt and re-engineered over the last 10 years. The engine was originally fitted in America but work was finished here after importation in 1993. Nearly £ 30,000 has been spent in recent years on transforming this car including a £ 5000 bare shell, engine-out body restoration and repaint in Ferrari Rosso Red with full Beige leather interior ( including dashboard and door panels ) with Red piping, Beige Wilton carpets, Burr Walnut dashboard, Beige Wilton carpeted boot compartment and new Black Mohair hood. Over £ 6000 spent on upholstery alone. Motalita wood-rim steering wheel. New chrome wire wheels and tyres. Totally rebuilt suspension, brakes and underneath by Faversham Classics at a cost of over £ 13000. All chromework was replated, the engine and gearbox have just been completely rebuilt and the power-steering and cooling systems re-engineered.
